“The Complexity of Computing a Nash Equilibrium”
Abstract
The awarded paper shows that finding a Nash equilibrium in a game with four or more players is complete for the complexity class PPAD. Thus the existence of an equilibrium, guaranteed by Nash’s theorem, does not itself give an efficient way to compute one.

“Potentials and Approximation”
Abstract
The lecture connects potential functions to approximation guarantees in congestion and cost-sharing games. It uses Shapley-value cost shares to explain the existence and convergence of pure equilibria, examines inefficiency through the price of anarchy, and characterizes cost-allocation rules that guarantee a pure equilibrium.
