Dear Member of the Game Theory Society,

As many of you have no doubt heard, David Schmeidler, who served as President of this Society from 2014 to 2016, passed away on March 17th, 2022. David's contributions to the discipline are as familiar, as Shakespeare says, in our mouths as household words. A number of his colleagues and collaborators were kind enough to provide an overview of them divided into two parts.

Part I, written by Eric Maskin, Herve Moulin, Andrew Postlewaite and Tamas Solimosy covers David's contributions to Mathematical Economics and Game Theory. Part II, authored by Edi Karni, Fabio Maccheroni and Massimo Marinacci discusses David's contributions to Decision Theory.
