(mailed to GTS members by Bernhard von Stengel on 22 March 2011)

Dear member of the Game Theory Society:

The GTS webpage has a very active webpage for conference announcements, https://www.gametheorysociety.org/conferences/ and upcoming deadlines are posted at the bottom of the home page https://www.gametheorysociety.org/, but otherwise communications by the society tend to be confined to business matters such as council elections.

A number of opportunities such as job openings that are not part of the normal job market, new books, and the like, may be of interest to GTS members. For that purpose, we would like to introduce a GTS MAILING LIST to which at first every GTS member belongs (but can unsubscribe at any time).

  • Every GTS member can post a message (also on behalf of someone else), subject to approval by the Communications Officer.
  • Conference announcements are NOT normally emailed, unless a meeting comes up at short notice, to reduce the amount of traffic. However, as before they will be posted immediately on the GTS conference webpage.
  • Messages will be archived on the GTS website (for an appropriate amount of time).
  • Unsubscribing or subscribing is possible at any time; this does not affect official GTS announcements to all members.

If you want to post something, please send email with “GTS announcement” in its subject to gts@nash.lse.ac.uk, also for further suggestions. All emails will be acknowledged.

Thank you for your interest and best wishes,

Bernhard von Stengel
GTS communications officer on behalf of all GTS officers
